**** ****ing Everything

I.
Am back in the states.

...and, as wonderful and fantastic and beautiful and thrilling and everything as my three months in Europe were (and also everything ever), my last few days there I was just like...

meh. i am so done.
Done with what?
i don't know. just done.

...and I felt bad for feeling that way, because it's like
HELLO, YOU'RE IN ****ING EUROPE, GET UP AND ENJOY YOURSELF,
but my body and chronic dream state were just like
noooooooo........ sleeeeeeepppppppp.........

...and that's that.

So I'll give you some pictures of Europe sometime later, but right now I just want to post some pictures of things that inspire me because I miss fashion precisely a shit-ton.

I had the brilliant idea to pack only black for Europe so that everything would match, I'd be less likely to be mugged, no one would notice if I wore the same pieces over and over... basically, to blend in and pack light. It worked--even in creepy late-night Amsterdam no one bothered me as I traversed bits of sketchy Europe alone (I practiced my passive-intimidation face in the mirror quite a lot) (that's a blatant fabrication, but I did practice it while I walked around Europe alone). The side effect of this brilliant packing decision was that while I managed to enjoy fashion for about a week and a half and even took a couple pictures of what I wore, I soon slipped right into the
There's no POINT in taking pictures of what I'm wearing, it's the SAME ****ING PAIR OF JEANS AND THE SAME THREE ****ING TSHIRTS AND THE SAME LEATHER JACKET AND THE SAME BOOTS EVERY ****ING DAY
phase.

If you can't tell, I've been fashionably frustrated. Right now I'm in Texas, living off of a wardrobe for 6 degrees Celsius Europe in 85 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit weather, which basically means I'm wearing as little as possible without risking arrest. So. No pictures of me for now.

Inspiration. Yes.

Also, this is totally going to be what the more-refined of us would call something more refined than a shit-ton but what I will still call a shit-ton of pictures. Prepare thyself.

If there's no caption, it means I have no clue in hell where it's from other than the general expanse of the internets.

Rainbows are Fantastic

Hello, Lovelies.
I know posts have been few and far between. It's part of backpacking Europe, that's how it goes. I'll have a lot to tell when I get back in April, and lots of pictures for you. For now, here are some England pictures and some makeup from a little while back.

'Tis Green!!

Finally.

Inspiration:
My university "family" threw a Christmas costume party, and I went as a Christmas tree. I wore a green plaid taffeta bubble skirt dress, brown tights, brown snakeskin Betsey Johnson heels, made construction paper presents to tape to my legs, sprayed my hair green (actually, my friend Ethan did the spraying for me), and clipped in a giant gold star I'd made.
I was amazed and pleasantly surprised to find out that the green actually looked good on me, which was confirmed by the onslaught of, "Dude-you-could-actually-pull-that-off"s, and that was when I finally settled on what color I was going to dye my hair.
After jillions of hours of google-imaging, I decided I wanted something that reminded my of the green letters on the black screens of old computers, slash something that could have been on the cover of the Half Blood Prince, slash kelly green only darker and prettier. Turns out, Special Effects makes EXACTLY that color, so I guess I'm not the only one. Cool.

Process:
My dear friend Emma Dahling and her wonderful mother helped me do this (aka did this for me).
'Twas done by lightening my natural hair color with 30 volume bleach, and then steeping it in Special Effects Iguana Green for... 1, 2, 3, 4...
...roughly 16 hours.
It probably would look the same now if I'd only left it in a couple hours, but I'm told that leaving it in so much longer will help it hold up better, and that since Special Effects dyes are vegetable-based, Leaving it in super long would not damage my hair. I'm incredibly excited.
Really.
